Some Kids Were Freer To Roam
Records show that there were over 100 children aboard the Titanic. They all weren’t treated the same, though. Kids in third class had limited spaces where they could roam compared to the children of wealthier passengers who could use the library, gym, and steam baths on the ship.
Kids in first and second class could also play and explore the Titanic’s many decks. Take the boy in this photo, for example. The less fortunate still found ways to have their fun, though, with some of them preferring to swing from the cranes in the luggage area.
