Dining In Style
While the children are playing, their folks might’ve busy dining in style in the four restaurants aboard the Titanic. The photo above shows one of them, the Café Parisien, an extension of where first-class passengers usually dined.
With thousands of people to feed every day, the ship’s 80-staff kitchen crew worked around the clock. The team was led by a chef from London who oversaw the daily preparation of 6,000 meals. Thus, the Titanic set sail carrying a reported 11,000 pounds of fish as well as 75,000 pounds of meat.
