Michael Gambon, 82
From Dublin, Ireland, the one-and-only Sir Michael Gambon is still going strong. In the United Kingdom, he gained recognition for his stage performances. However, he also starred in over 170 movies, some of them quite remarkable. For one, he had the chance to work alongside the legendary Laurence Olivier and Maggie Smith in his debut film “Othello.”
A decade-spanning performer, Gambon is also famous for portraying the wise ‘Albus Dumbledore’ in the “Harry Potter” movie series. Some of his other best-known works include “The King’s Speech,” “Little Women,” and the star-filled drama “Gosford Park.” He’s a 13-time Olivier Award nominee.
