A Regular Microphone Was Not Going To Cut It
The biggest issue with Geeven’s plan was a logistical one: Was it even possible to go down and record the sounds of the Earth? If a microphone were to be dropped down the hole, it would undoubtedly melt like butter on a pan. Remember what we said about Earth’s deepest locations? They can reach temperatures as high as the surface of the Sun!
This was a major let-down for Geeven, but she was determined. Already stranded in the hills of Bavaria with her big ambitions and her big hole, it was too late to back down. But was there any way she could convincingly record Earth’s deepest sounds?
