The Installation
For Lotte Geeven’s work of art to be complete, she needed to translate everything she’d worked for into a visual installation. And she did so in the simplest possible way. To make the sounds a little bit more impressive, she used a geoscience-inspired foam table that really suited the thunder-like sounds to perfection.
Additionally, she attempted to recreate a field lab environment, probably as a reminder of the time she spent working in the Windischeschenbach hills. She completed the installation with a sound-reacting Russian seismograph and a picture of the scientists who worked at the hole.
