Harriet Tubman
Harriet Tubman, an American political activist and abolitionist, was born into slavery and experienced a difficult upbringing. Despite this, she succeeded in escaping to Philadelphia and went on to lead 13 rescue missions, liberating more than 700 other slaves. She devoted her life to helping people in situations similar to hers using the Underground Railroad n he never lost a passenger.
In addition to her work as an abolitionist, Tubman also fought for women’s rights and was an active participant in the movement in New York.her legacy as an icon of courage and freedom continues to inspire people today.
