Patti Clare is an English actress, best known for playing Mary Taylor in the ITV soap opera Coronation Street (often referred to as Corrie) since 2008. She is a three-time winner of the British Soap Award for Best Comedy Performance and is one of 11 other Corrie actors to have won the British Soap Award.
The show keeps her busy. Recently, it premiered its 10,000th episode in February 2020 and celebrated its 60th anniversary later that year. She had always wanted to be on the show and persisted despite receiving some strongly worded rejection letters. She gets an annual salary of $150k for her role in Corrie.
