Dick Van Dyke – $73.2K, Jaguar XJ
The star of The Dick Van Dyke Show and Mary Poppins is best known for his comedic performances, but he certainly doesn’t joke when it comes to his cars. His Jaguar XJ made the news in 2013 when it caught fire on a Los Angeles freeway. To prove just how attached he was, he immediately bought another one.
The car reportedly cost at least $73,200. Double that amount, and it’s a lot. However, Van Dyke, 87 years old at the time, probably just felt lucky to survive the incident. We can only assume he started prioritizing safety features like an alarm system and a fire extinguisher from then on.
