Stylish But Not Flashy

The Amish are renowned for their formal dress sense. This, like most other rules, is passed down by the Ordnung. But you’re also not likely going to find an Amish guy in a department store buying the new black suit. That’s because all Amish clothing is meant to be homemade.

This is commonly done by the mother and wife of a home, and the color scheme is, as expected, black with some shades of blue, wine, grey, and purple thrown in. Brighter colors on the spectrum are usually used for children’s clothing.
