George Takei, 85 Years Old
George Takei’s career in the entertainment industry kicked off in the late ’50s as a voiceover role in animations. It was an impressionable quality that earned him voiceover roles in animated films such as “Jellystone” and “Yorktown: A Time To Heal.” He was also in the 2022 animation “Paws Of Fury: The Legends Of Hank.”
His popularity grew in 1965 when he starred in the original “Star Trek” TV series. This resulted in the asteroid 7307 Takei being named in his honor. One of his notable awards is the Distinguished Medal of Honor for Lifetime Achievement, bestowed on him in 2015 by the Japanese American National Museum.
