Sacheen Littlefeather, 75 Years Old

it was the evening of the 1973 Academy Awards when American Indian actor Marlon Brando was chosen for the Best Actor Award for “The Godfather.” He didn’t show up and asked Sacheen Littlefeather instead to attend the ceremony and refuse the award on his behalf. It earned her massive criticism, and in 2022, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences finally and formally apologized to her for the incident almost five decades ago.

Littlefeather is an American actress who stepped into the business in 1973. She is an activist for the Native American activist community. Even after decades of brilliant presence, she is still active in the industry.
