Barbara Mandrell, 72 Years Old
“The Princess of Steel” has been supplying country music classics since 1959. Barbara Mandrell rose to critical acclaim in the ’70s and ’80s, even hosting her variety show called Barbara Mandrell and the Mandrell Sisters. With hits like The Midnight Oil and If Loving You Is Wrong, Mandrell will never be forgotten.
From guest starring in Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman, and Walker, Texas Ranger to taking a recurring role on Sunset Beach, Mandrell proved her acting talent. The Hall of Famer retired in 2016 but remained a part of the Grand Ole Opry. In 2019, material from Mandrell was reported as destroyed in the Universal Studios fire of 2008.
