Marsha Blackburn (Born 1952) – Senior United States Senator
Not everyone is capable of making history, but Marsha Blackburn successfully made history as the first female candidate to get elected to the United States Senate from Tennessee. Blackburn has had an admirable political career.
Having served as a state senator from 1999 to 2003, she then went on to represent Tennessee’s 7th congressional district up until 2019. Famous for being a devout supporter of former President Donald Trump, Blackburn’s accomplishments include being an author and former member of the Smithsonian Libraries Advisory Board. In 2021, she took over as Tennessee’s senior senator.
