Anthony Fauci (Born in 1940) – Chief Medical Advisor to the President
Anthony Stephen Fauci is an immunologist and physician-scientist who has won many accolades. He served as the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases as well as the President’s Chief Medical Advisor under Joe Biden. Fauci started as a medical resident, after which he became the chief of NIAID’s Laboratory of Immunology.
In 1980, he became the chairman of NIAID while rejecting the offer by NIH. His tenure as director has seen a few controversial opinions about the American health system, but Fauci has performed his duty nevertheless. He was featured in the documentary titled “Fauci” in 2022.
