Ethel Kennedy (Born 1928) – American Human Rights Advocate
There aren’t many people who can confidently say they made the world a better place, but Ethel Kennedy is one of those people. She is an American human rights advocate who is also the wife of the late United States Senator Robert F. Kennedy and sister-in-law to President John F. Kennedy.
She is the founder of the Robert F. Kennedy Center for Justice and Human Rights and a proud Presidential Medal of Freedom recipient. However, that’s not all the recognition Kennedy has received in her lifetime. Local authorities renamed a bridge over the Anacostia River after her in 2014. In 2022, her family celebrated her 94th birthday on social media.
