A New Chapter in the Classroom
After earning their degrees, the two newly graduated teachers stepped into their roles at the elementary school in New Brighton, Minnesota. Assigned to teach fourth and fifth grades, they focused on math. Each held separate teaching licenses but shared one salary, which they believed was fair since they were doing the work of one person.
Though initially anxious about how students might react, they were pleasantly surprised by the immediate warmth and acceptance. Their concerns melted away as they embraced their new responsibilities. With confidence and joy, they embarked on their teaching journey, eager to inspire and make a lasting impact on the lives of their students.
