An Icy Domain
Antarctica is one of the most isolated places on Earth, and as such, getting there might pose some bit of a hassle. It is all for a good reason, though, as the entire continent, over 99% of it is covered in ice.
The remaining 1 percent of the land contains dry valleys that don’t get any ice or snow cover at all. This makes for a fascinating double geographic concept, where one place can be an ice-cold, windy desert with a few areas that don’t experience the water melting on its surface.
