A Land Of Peace And Science
While there is plenty of conflict across the globe, Antarctica has avoided taking part in such activities. In fact, the primary thing that happens there is research, and the continent is brimming with scientists who are working on advancing science in many fields.
Since the Antarctic Treaty was first signed in 1959 by twelve nations, forty-eight other countries have joined the fray. All of them remain dedicated to keeping the icy continent a place where researchers can explore new possibilities without worrying about things that can compromise the outstanding work they are undertaking there.
