Mountains Deep Beneath
Large masses of ice are capable of concealing almost everything underneath it, but we didn’t think that it would be possible to hide an entire mountain range underneath frozen water. The Gamburtsev Mountains are located in Antarctica and have peaks of up to 3000 meters and sprawl an area of over 750 miles!
That sounds like the appropriate venue to go hiking as it poses the ultimate challenge, but no one can do that since the ranges are buried 4800 meters deep under the ice. Sadly no one will be able to see what the peaks look like or if it is possible to hike the ice rocks.
