Country sports are generally messy, but some are even more dangerous. While women participate in most things in the countryside, an incident that resulted in the death of a woman during a bull-riding game in 1929 motivated the abolition of female participation in rodeo events.
Not many women would want to be in the same position as the man in this picture. Only a few experienced professionals can survive such a landing without sustaining major injuries. That is why you will find most country girls riding machines rather than wild animals for sports. It is better to be safe than to be sorry.
