Kathryn Lee Gifford is a French-American television host, singer, songwriter, occasional actress and author. Kathie Lee Gifford is the former co-host of the four-time Emmy Award-winning fourth hour of “TODAY” with Hoda Kotb. After 11 years together, Gifford left that role in 2019 to pursue other creative pursuits.
The Gifford- Kotb hour had been hailed as “appointment television” by Entertainment Weekly, and “TODAY’s happy hour” by USA Today. Prior to working at NBC News, Gifford co-hosted “Live with Regis and Kathie Lee” for 15 years, where she received 11 Emmy nominations. In 2015, Gifford was inducted into the Broadcasting and Cable Hall of Fame. She has been chosen to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2021.
