Rio Ferdinand – Cheshire, £2 million
With an original asking price of £4.5 million, former Manchester United footballer Rio Ferdinand slashed off more than 50% of the price when he finally sold it in 2018 for £2 million. Ferdinand lived in his seven-bedroom Alderley Edge mansion with his late wife Rebecca Ellison and their three children.
The residence features floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the hillside landscape, a pool, a bar, and 1.5 acres of perfectly manicured lawn. After his engagement with his current wife, Kate Wright, the couple moved 200 miles away to their London home. Ferdinand is currently working as a television pundit for BT Sport on their segment Rio Ferdinand’s Between The Lines.
