As far as the history of country music goes, we know that Dolly Parton’s got to be one of the biggest contributors to it. Having done dozens of albums in the field and still going strong decades after she started her career in singing, she’s received a number of recognitions and accolades.

But Parton is not only a singer; she’s a star actress as well. This photo from 1978 shows her at the prime of her career. That was the same year that she received an “Entertainer of the Year” award at the CMAs that featured her not-so-fancy wardrobe malfunction.
