Vanessa Bryant – Widow of Kobe Bryant

Any good list with athletes’ wives/girlfriends wouldn’t be complete without Kobe Bryant and Vanessa Bryant. The two fell in love when they were very young and were already engaged before Vanessa finished high school. Kobe spent 20 years in the NBA playing for the Los Angeles Lakers.

The couple tied the knot in 2001 and added four daughters to their nest until the unfortunate happened and destroyed their dreams. In January 2020, Kobe and the couple’s second daughter, Gianna, died in a helicopter crash in Calabasas. Vanessa lost her husband, and three children lost their father (other people also died from the crash).
