The Men Who Commanded The Ship
Here you’ll see the men who were primarily in charge of commanding the Titanic. The bearded gentleman sitting third from left on the bottom row is Captain Edward J. Smith photographed with his officers before officially carrying on their duties.
Of course, many others served on the ship, as there were approximately 900 crew members aboard when it sank. According to the disaster recovery data, with only 210 of them saved, it can be assumed that around 690 of these workers lost their lives during the tragedy. Among them was Smith, whose body was never found.
