A Room To Keep Passengers Occupied
With the Titanic’s facilities surpassing those of her rival vessels, first-class passengers were treated to the ultimate luxury on board. They can enjoy using amenities like a smoking room, veranda cafes, and a room for reading and writing.
Pictured above is the reading room of the Olympic decked out in furniture and wood details made of mahogany, sycamore, and oak. Considering that both ships were made by the same manufacturer and closely resemble each other, we can imagine that the one on the Titanic doesn’t look drastically different from what’s in this photo.
