After much contemplation, Russell also decided to use a small explosion to shock the thief and make them drop the package. The element of surprise was key, and he felt no risk in executing this idea as the explosion would not harm the thief.
As much as he wanted to cause the thief to feel pain, Russell knew it was not the right thing to do. He put on his work gloves and got to work constructing the explosive device. He felt some excitement as he meticulously put the plan into action, knowing that the burglar would be caught off guard.
