If there’s one thing true beyond reasonable doubt about Tom Steyer, it’s the fact that he is a man of different talents. Steyer is a hearty philanthropist, a liberal activist, an environmentalist, and a billionaire businessman.
He is a founder and co-founder of Farallon Capital and the then OneCalifornia Bank (turned Beneficial State Bank). His attempt at politics was with such ease that in 2020 he was already trying for the seat of the United States President. In April 2022, at the annual climate leadership gala held in Washington DC, Steyer was honored with the Climate Visionary Award by the likes of Laura Lane and Peter Shapiro.
