They Didn’t Give Up
Following the devastating loss of their twins, the couple decided to try again, and joyfully, Mia became pregnant quickly. But when they found out from their doctor that they would be having six babies this time, they couldn’t believe it!
Winnie and James Bushnell were the first to record a set of septuplet in Chicago far back in 1866. Two out of the six of those infants died within their first year, but the remaining four were healthy and strong. There is a high likelihood that one out of the six children will not live into adulthood, and so far, only 35 complete sets of septuplet have survived into adulthood.
