Phoebe Cates – Born in 1963
She was one of the most famous American actresses of the ’80s and ’90s, but movie buffs have yet to see much of her in recent years. The New York City native Phoebe Cates made fame and fortune by starring in all-time classics such as the coming-of-age comedy “Fast Times at Ridgemont High” and the black comedy flick “Drop Dead Fred.”
But now, Cates has “transformed” into a boutique owner with a past in show business. Even though this ’80s sweetheart attempted to return to showbiz in 2015, she’s been virtually retired since 2001 and keeps busy by running her Blue Tree shop on Madison Avenue.
