Switzerland
Officially known as the Swiss Armed Forces, the military of Switzerland encompasses about 140K personnel with a nearly balanced ratio of men to women in it. Operating on land and in air only, they report to the Chief of the Armed Forces, who in turn is answerable to the Federal Department of Defence, Civil Protection and Sport.
Since Switzerland is a landlocked country only surrounded by a few major lakes, they don’t have an extensive navy. Even though they had some anti-tank boats during World War II, these days, they only maintain a few small warships that also assist in search and rescue.
