Maggie Smith might not be able to make a feather float in real life, but she has had a magical career that goes beyond Harry Potter. That’s a given, considering she has been in the game since 1952 and has a glut of major film credits, including Death on the Nile, Hook, and The Lady in the Van.

For all of her achievements and acclaim, she has acquired a little piece of heaven in the Pulborough township. Her five-bedroom farmhouse in the countryside includes a tree-filled orchard, a vineyard, three barns, and a stable. Smith is currently filming for Downton Abbey 2.
