Raymond George “Ray” Martin (77) – Richmond, New South Wales
Raymond George Martin, also known as Ray Martin, is the most awarded star in Australian television, and that’s saying a lot. Since he began his career in 1965, he’s occupied prominent on-air roles on shows like “A Current Affair,” “The Midday Show,” and “The Mike Walsh Show.”
Martin can write almost as well as he speaks. And the well-articulated ruminations of his mind are well documented in his two books, “Ray: Stories of My Life” and “Ray Martin’s Favorites.” So many years have passed, but Martin still has much to say. And in 2020, he hosted the ABC comedy series “At Home Alone Together.”
