Jane Hill and Sara Shepherd – Together for 19 Years

Jane Hill, a BBC newsreader, learned that she was battling breast cancer in 2018. She shared her two years of being free from the disease on Twitter early in 2021. Hill joined BBC in 1991 and became one of the network’s regular newsreaders in 2003.

The English journalist had a cameo in the 2014 movie Edge of Tomorrow and an appearance in a 2016 episode of No Such Thing as the News. Hill outed her orientation in 2009 through the BBC’s in-house publication. She entered into a civil partnership with camerawoman Sara Shepherd in 2011, and the pair live in North London.
