Orla Guerin and Michael Georgy – Together For 19 Years

Irish journalist Orla Guerin has been married to news correspondent Michael Georgy for nearly two decades. The duo met in Bethlehem, most likely on their reporting journeys, and got hitched in 2003. While Georgy is mainly known for his association with Reuters, his wife has a more decorated profile.

Guerin works as the BBC’s Middle East Correspondent based in Turkey, having worked as a newscaster, foreign correspondent, and presenter for Ireland’s RTE News. The Dublin-born media personality, born in 1966, also tried her hand at politics, losing a high-profile Labour election campaign. Later, she met her Egyptian-American husband, hosting their elaborate wedding reception at Tinakilly House.
