A Possible Explanation
Once the veterinarian received the news, she immediately deduced that the snake had eaten some large prey. What baffled her and the other workers, though, was its inability to move naturally. Of course, the weight of anacondas’ meals could slow them down, and their body also expends a lot of time and energy to digest food.
Digestion could take days and weeks for anacondas, and they usually look for warm areas to speed up the process. This might have explained why the snake came out during the day, but it didn’t explain why it stopped moving. The specialist knew there was only one way to find out.
