A Concerned Human
On seeing the anaconda’s condition, one of the more concerned co-workers thought it would be best to take a look. He began to walk towards it, getting almost within arm’s length. His co-workers thought he had gone insane and started shouting at him to move back.
They were correct to be bothered. Although snakes naturally don’t attack humans, they might react aggressively if one moves too close or provokes them by touching or poking. This particular worker was probably endangering his life even though he was only trying to be helpful.
