A Pregnant Snake?
The anaconda had a colossal bulge in its mid-section, leading some workers to believe it was pregnant. But they were wrong because the bulge on this snake was too big for it to be a sign of pregnancy.
Unlike other snake species, anacondas do not lay eggs; instead, they give birth to live young snakes. But that still didn’t explain the ridiculous size of the snake’s torso. The answer wasn’t too complicated, however: snake’s bellies get big like that when they’ve just consumed prey. In this snake’s case, its prey was unbelievably large.
