Andrew Weatherall – Pulmonary Embolism
Andrew James Weatherall rose to fame as an acid house DJ in the late’80s. Putting his spin on tracks by artists like My Bloody Valentine, Björk, and New Order made him a respected remixer in the music industry. He soon started producing masterpieces like Primal Scream’s Screamadelica.
He injected humor into most of his works, and it earned him several titles, including the “Guv’nor.” Weatherall died from a pulmonary embolism in February 2020 at the age of 56. He was receiving medical care at the Whipps Cross University Hospital at the time of his passing.
