Trevor Eve is an actor made for police dramas. So much so that he starred as the main character in two of them. One was Shoestring, where he played a character by the same name, and the other was Waking the Dead, where he played Detective Superintendent Peter Boyd.
He’s been active since the ’70s and got his big role in 1974, playing Paul McCartney in the play John, Paul, George, Ringo … and Bert on the West End. The play won the Best Musical at the Evening Standard Award and London Critics Awards. His last role was in the series A Discovery of Witches, with its second season in 2021.
