John Cleese, 81
John Cleese is an icon of British film and television. The legendary actor and writer is renowned for starting the comedy group known as Monty Python. This led to the creation of the sketch show Monty Python’s Flying Circus. He also penetrated Hollywood with notable roles in films like A Fish Called Wanda with Kevin Kline.
He and his wife Connie Booth co-wrote the comedy series Fawlty Towers, a show that won Cleese a BAFTA for Best Entertainment Performance. Fawlty Towers also topped the list of 100 Greatest British Television Programmes compiled by the British Film Institute. Cleese is set to star in a 2021 film called The Martini Shot.
