Britt Ekland is a Swedish actress who has had parts in some iconic films and also played some iconic roles. She became a female symbol in the ’70s thanks to roles in films like The Night They Raided Minsky’s, Machine Gun McCain, and 1970’s Get Carter.
She cemented her symbolic status when she portrayed the Bond Girl Mary Goodnight in The Man With The Golden Gun. Before her turn in the Bond film, she also made early inroads as a scream queen in the cult classic horror film The Wicker Man. Her last media appearance was in an episode of Good Morning Britain in 2020.
Judi Dench, 86
As powerful an actress as Dame Judi Dench is, she will always be remembered for her role as M, the head honcho of MI6 in the James Bond films. She is also renowned for her stage roles in several Shakespeare productions, including Hamlet, Romeo and Juliet, and Macbeth.
She also played starring roles in British Sitcoms A Fine Romance from 1981 to 1984 and As As Time Goes By from 1992 to 2005. She has been nominated for six Oscars, winning one for the role of Queen Elizabeth I in Shakespeare In Love. She recently finished a film called Off the Rails, scheduled for release in 2021.
