Jennie Linden, 81
Before scream queens were a thing, horror heroines like Jennie Linden were all the hype. Linden made her major film debut in that titular role with the classic British horror film Nightmare. But the role that put her on the map was as Ursula in 1969’s Women in Love by Ken Russel.
She earned a BAFTA nomination for this role and had starring roles in other films, including the 1974 Vampira. She never pursued a career in Hollywood because of her desire to raise children in England. She was last featured in a 2020 documentary called Surge of Power: Doctor Who Tribute.
