Mike Harding, 77
With nearly six decades of sustained performance and success and no signs of retiring soon in sight, Mike Harding has become nothing short of a legend. The 1944 Crumpsall-born superstar debuted in 1965 and has more caps than many can manage to juggle. He’s carved his name in Hollywood as a singer-songwriter, author, comedian, broadcaster, poet, and multi-instrumentalist.
Harding, who plays over ten musical instruments, also ventured into photography, playwriting, and filmmaking and became an avid traveler. His 1975 single “The Rochdale Cowboy” brought him national attention. But most impressively, the “Danger Mouse” and “Count Duckula” TV series composer has managed to juggle all these with great success.
