Janet Suzman, a seasoned British actress, has received numerous awards throughout her career. Her work with the Royal Shakespeare Company launched her to fame. Despite being her first film, her portrayal of Alexandra in the historical drama “Nicholas and Alexandra” earned her an Oscar nomination for best actress.
She also directed “Othello,” which was televised at the Market Theatre, Johannesburg. During the Commonwealth realm’s birthday honors in 2011, Suzman was also honored as a Commander of the Order of the British Empire. With notable roles in films such as “The Curse of Minerva,” released in 2021, her career doesn’t seem to be wavering.
