Peter Richardson, 69
Peter Richardson is a man with a plan. Like when he founded the Comic Strip troupe. Not only was it a platform for his and Nigel Planer’s double act, but it also gave exposure to comedians like Rik Mayall, French and Saunders, and Alexei Sayle, launching their careers in the process.
His self-starting ways saw him create experimental shows mixing comedy with rock music. Two of these shows toured the United Kingdom and were called Rank and The Wild Boys. While he didn’t act he produced and directed some big films including Carry On Columbus and Stella Street. The last thing he directed was The Comic Strip Presents Redtop in 2016.
