Grateful Dead Shining In the Dark
Sometimes even the most careful plan could take turns when the weather enters the scene. The downpour during Woodstock caused delays and difficulties for the rock band Grateful Dead. They had to endure delays in time, problems with sound equipment, and limited lighting while onstage.
Nevertheless, the band themselves and the crowd were clear of what they wanted, and the rain couldn’t just put off their excitement. Their 90-minute performance included performances of the songs “Saint Stephen,” “Mama Tried,” “Dark Star,” “High Time,” and “Turn on Your Lovelight.” Even in the middle of darkness, superstars like the Grateful Dead always find ways to shine.
