A Revival Of Artistry
Creedence Clearwater Revival is an American rock band from California that touches the style of roots rock, swamp rock, country rock, and blue-eyed soul. Many of their songs talked about political and social consciousness. As such, their presence at Woodstock was respected.
Their set lasted for an hour, and they treated the crowd with some of their all-time hits, “Bad Moon Rising,” “Proud Mary,” and “Green River.” However, the band did not agree to include the recordings of their performance in the 1970 Woodstock film because they believed their performance was subpar. Nevertheless, the band still appeared on the 2020 music charts and remained an icon for U.S. classic rock.
