Sunday Mornings With Jefferson Airplane

While most people prefer their Sunday mornings to be slow, steady, and romantic, people from Woodstock know what they entered themselves into. As such, everyone jived happily with the rock band Jefferson Airplane on a Sunday morning.

When Jefferson Airplane started combining their original folk-rock style with experimentation on folk and rock and roll, they created a new sound. This sound is what we call now psychedelic rock, and the band was the pioneering group for that. They gained recognition for the genre and eventually became headliners at numerous events such as Woodstock, Monterey Pop Festival, Altamont Free Concert, and Isle of Wight Festival.
