Hang On, Tim Hardin
When he appeared at Woodstock, Tim Hardin had already become a well-respected and highly-talented musician. As a composer, he wrote the hits “If I Were a Carpenter” and “Reason to Believe” for other artists. Known for his folk and blues music genre, it was a delight for the audience when he played “How Can We Hang On To A Dream?”
However, it was not without struggles. Hardin might already be an icon, but he still battled with stage fright at that time, and according to Bethel Woods, it contributed to his sluggish pace and vocals onstage. Despite all this, we see him close his eyes to feel every rhythm and give his best.
